Save time and money on installation with GeoSonic Concrete-Free Foundations
Our GeoSonic Concrete-Free Foundation Solution is one of the latest innovations from the AIL Sound Walls R&D Team. It features a steel blade added to the steel post/section to resist lateral pressure on the wall by forces such as wind load.
Sound wall posts installed by vibratory equipment
The sound barrier walls’ post or post section can then be quickly installed by vibratory equipment without the need for excavation or concrete — greatly reducing the installation time and cost. Plus, the rest of the wall assembly can proceed immediately without waiting for concrete to cure.
The GeoSonic blade component can be base-plated for attaching base-plated posts (below left drawing and all photos) or the blade can be integrated into the full-length steel posts for a direct-bury installation (below right drawing). The base-plated version is designed for top-mounted vibratory equipment, while the integrated version is best for side-mounted vibratory equipment.
GeoSonic sound wall foundations third-party tested
The GeoSonic Concrete-Free Foundation Solution by AIL Sound Walls has been third-party-tested in various soil types and freeze/thaw cycles with structural analysis in a full geotechnical report. GeoSonic is recommended for any type of AIL Sound Walls at any of the available panel lengths and wall heights of up to 20′.
