Due to increasing demand from cloud providers and AI companies, data centers continue to experience significant growth. This project for NTT Data, the world’s third-largest data center provider, saw our Silent Protector (Absorptive) Sound Barrier Wall System used to control the unwanted noise from their new TX4 Data Center in Garland, near Dallas.
The AIL Sound Walls team collaborated closely with our project partner, Harper-Clayton Construction, to supply our Silent Protector (Absorptive) acoustic panels in standard and custom lengths to suit their existing steel structure. Installation was ongoing at time of publication.

Our ability to accommodate varying span lengths made our product a highly flexible solution for this project. By providing a value engineered alternative to their original specification, we demonstrated the adaptability of our system, along with its ease of installation and dimensional flexibility.
AIL Sound Walls are a preferred solution for data centers
Generative AI has become the big driver in the exponential growth of data centers throughout North America and around the world.
Their increased processing power comes from graphics processing units, or GPUs. These chips reach 176 degrees Fahrenheit when running at maximum power, which requires robust solutions to prevent data centers from overheating. Those cooling solutions generate a lot of noise.

The incredible energy demands of these mega data centers are also driving investments in the electrical grids and their renewable or non-renewable energy-generation sources.
